Fairly Handy looking solid in Betfred Mobile Sports Sprint Trophy at Nottingham
Wearing red jersey, Fairly Handy is well prepared to stamp his opponents in the Betfred Mobile Sports Sprint Trophy, to be held at Nottingham on Monday, August 6th.
The fawn and white dog took a surprise victory last time. After two not-so-impressive efforts, he was given the odds of 8 to 1. G. Oswald’s charge raised many eyebrows by demonstrating a splendid show in a 290 metres open race at Newcastle.
After getting in command at the second bend, he did not let anyone touch him. Following a marvellous run, the son of Cushie Theory seized the first place by a length’s distance. After grabbing such an outstanding win, Fairly Handy is full of spirit. So,
one should think twice before ignoring his chances in today’s sprint.
Others in the pack are: Dromana Max, Sevenup Bradders, Gold Finch, Kilree Padgo and Prestonaintalkin. The 305 metres contest is set to begin at 21:52 GMT. The open race holds a cash prize of £150.
Out of others, Dromana Max boasts the strongest profile. L. Cook’s trainee is more than capable of winning a clash of this nature, but luck is not on his side these days.
Black Shaw’s son was only able to beat the back marker on his previous outing at Nottingham last month. So, pinning up too many hopes on him might turned out to be a dangerous move.
Similar is the case with Prestonaintalkin, who did nothing special on his previous few outings. After finishing at bottom of the table at Romford, the black dog could not raise his game and as a result, ended up fourth at Coventry last time.
Kilree Padgo is making his first appearance at this level, and will be under a lot of pressure. Gold Finch showed some improvement at Peterborough after completing the order of finish twice here last month. Yet, we expect her to struggle against this line-up.
Sevenup Bradders is yet to learn how to win an open race.
Dromana Max is an experienced hound, but Fairly Handy is in good position to outclass him and the rest to thrive today. Good luck to all the runners.
