Fairness/speed?

i think its not fair that cops can speed or use their cell phones while driving. they always get away with everything. its not fair.

I agree with you 100 percent and this is what my police department told me as to why the speed but would not comment on the fact that 80% are not doing what they said.....

"Usually the officer is trying to get to a serious call like domestic violence, or a possible burglary, or he might be trying to catch up with a possible drunk driver and does not want the bad guy to know he is coming.  It helps keep him safe and gives the officer the element of surprise."

As for the cell phones...............

The police officers are not allowed to use their own cell phones except for emergencies..
