Faith Martin wins Women’s 200m IM title: 2011 USA Swimming Long Course Junior Nationals
Day five of the 2011 USA Swimming Long Course Junior Nationals began in scintillating fashion with the immaculate swim of Faith Martin of Ridgefield Aquat in Paloalto, California, on Friday, August 12. The session of the meet conducted Women’s 200m Individual
Medley A, B and C finals.
At the beginning, Martin took home the golden crown in the Women’s 200m IM A final heat on the podium by posting a winning time of 2 minutes and 16.07 seconds. In the corresponding race, Ella Eastin of Irvine Novaquati earned silver medal with a victorious
mark of 2 minutes and 16.99 seconds and Ma Innocenzo D of Crimson Aquatics snared the bronze medal with a sterling time of 2 minutes and 17.49 seconds.
Madisyn Cox of Lubbock Swim Clu finished fourth with a time of 2 minutes and 18.89 seconds, while Meaghan Raab picked fifth spot with a mark of 2 minutes and 18.91 seconds. Meredit Oliver of Metroplex Aquati settled sixth in a time of 2 minutes and 19.35
seconds, whereas, Madison Burns of Parkland Aquatic was placed seventh with a time of 2 minutes and 19.68 seconds.
Noell Tarazona of The Claremont CL wound up eighth in a time of 2 minutes and 20.45 seconds. Michell Patton of DU Hilltoppers earned ninth spot in the respective meet with a time of 2 minutes and 21.76 seconds. Finally, Amalia Kobelja of Nova of Virgina
finished tenth in a time of 2 minutes and 23.25 seconds.
Meanwhile, Laure Driscoll was placed first in the Women’s 200m IM B final heat with a winning mark of 2 minutes and 17.25 seconds and Sierra Kuhn of Verona Aquatic earned second place honours with a winning time of 2 minutes and 17.52 seconds. In the corresponding
race, Kara Kopcso of Swimmin Franco wound up third in a time of 2 minutes and 18.81 seconds.
Afterwards, Romy Landeck of First Colony Swi won the Women’s 200m IM C final heat with a winning mark of 2 minutes and 19.04 seconds. Karen Turner of Lake Oswego Swim wound up second with a time of 2 minutes and 19.30 seconds, while Kathryn Miles of Bolles
School Sh settled third with an impressive mark of 2 minutes and 20.13 seconds. Last, but not the least, Kathleen Baker of Star Aquatics earned fourth position in a time of 2 minutes and 20.57 seconds.
