  1. I believe that religions are nothing more then businesses. It makes no sense to me that you can only find God if you go to a man made building and do what an other man tells you to do. I'm a self taught engineer like Bell or Edison therefor I'm very innovative and I do my own research not listen to some one who pretends to be telling me what God says................Yes I have faith and I believe in God but I don't believe in Churches

  2. Faith / Religion are the same thing. Belief / Opinion is better. Logic / Knowledge seems superior. Yet Intellect / Science remains supreme.

  3. The answer would be the same if you asked if you have to be religious to do good or pray or be kind or show charity. Religions attempt to 'codify' such philosophical concempts by integrating them into their belief systems. If there is good in the world it is because God or Yahweh or Jehovah or Allah or RamaLamaDingDong is good, and therefore to do what God or Yahwel or RamaLamaDingDong says is to do good (never mind all the prophets who bring all the supposed 'holy' people to task whenever they show up.)

They attempt to coerce people into accepting their beliefs because it makes them right, and since people place so much emphasis and 'holiness' on being right, that belief creates power, and power always seeks to support itself first, its ideals second.

Jesus himself said that goodness, and thus true christianity, can be practised by those who are socially despised or marginalized, those who aren't God's 'chosen' people. If a main teacher of a major religion says that goodness is not bound by religion or social class, then it must also be true that other tenents are also not bound by religion or or social class or by what God one subscribes to. Good enough arguement for me.

  4. No. faith and religion are 2 entirely different meanings. religion being an act of duty and faith being an act of God. The 2 are not the same once you take the time to study the religion (james 1 v. 27) and faith (hebrews 11 v. 1).

  5. No, I would say you don't have to have a religion to have faith.

Faith is a belief of your own, and your decision to make. Don't be too harsh though, there are some great religions out there, I recently started going back to church and it's made me so much happeir and a much better person. But yeah, faith is all your own, whether or not you have a religion to go with it.

  6. We as humans are religious in many ways.  We have faith about many things.

We are religious about brushing our teeth, a daily thing.

We have faith that the sun will rise.

What is important is the relationship with Christ that comes from religiously (daily) going to Him and the faith that He is there.

  7. No

You can have faith in a lot of things and people.

You leave your 12 year old home alone for the first time you have faith that he/she wont set the place on fire.

You lend someone something and you have faith they will return it safely.

There are a lot of definitions of faith.

    faith

    1. confidence or trust in a person or thing: faith in another's ability.

    2. belief that is not based on proof: He had faith that the hypothesis would be substantiated by fact.

    3. belief in God or in the doctrines or teachings of religion: the firm faith of the Pilgrims.

    4. belief in anything, as a code of ethics, standards of merit, etc.: to be of the same faith with someone concerning honesty.

    5. a system of religious belief: the Christian faith; the Jewish faith.

    6. the obligation of loyalty or fidelity to a person, promise, engagement, etc.: Failure to appear would be breaking faith.

    7. the observance of this obligation; fidelity to one's promise, oath, allegiance, etc.: He was the only one who proved his faith during our recent troubles.

    8. Christian Theology. the trust in God and in His promises as made through Christ and the Scriptures by which humans are justified or saved.

  8. No.

Gifts and callings come without repentence.

  9. No, I have faith in my friends and family. I trust that they will always stand by my side no matter what the situation.

  10. Why religious people think that such an Almighty Force would care either way about what they think, I don't know.

It is just about packaging a product to make a business of selling faith.

There are only a limited number of people that can stay sensible without a list of instructions!

  11. You don't need to be religious at all. Religion can actually hurt your faith. Here's a book I think you might be interested in, it's called "So You Don't Want To Go To Church Anymore?" and its available for FREE at www.jakecolsen.org. It will answer alot of your questions regarding religion and TRUE faith. If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me at vjordan2233@yahoo.com. God Bless you.

  12. Faith is believing without evidence. Religion is entirely unnecessary to harbor faith.

  13. My dear friend,

U can keep faith in somebody only if u have seen him. If u r talking about keeping faith in GOD, then it is NOT AT ALL possible to keep faith until u have seen it.

    A question.

Can u keep faith or keep on believing in your uncle when u have never seen him, only heard about him??

Lets say u have an uncle who lives outside ur country and since childhood u keep hearing about his qualities from ur mother. Now, when u have grown up to the age of 26 or 27, wouldn't u get frustrated by hearing about only the qualities of your uncle?

Wouldn't you ask your mother to stop talking about a person whom u have never seen?

Wouldn't you start telling your mother that there is no such uncle whose qualities she has been telling you since childhood?

Wouldn't u ask ur mom to show him to u if he ever exists?

GOD is a concept which has created mankind, this earth, sun, trees, planets, water and everything visible or non-visible (i.e. air, demons and angels, h**l and heaven etc). If there is a power which we all believe in and that has created all this universe, why can't it be seen??

Now, I ask you a question. Who gave you birth?? Your Mother and Father right! If you can see the creator of your physical body, i.e. your Father and Mother, then why can't you see the creator of your soul and this whole universe. In fact, it is the birth right of every human being to see GOD!!

You can see your parents thru your physical eyes, right! But GOD can't be seen by these Physical eyes! There is a third eye that is needed to be opened in order to see the GOD. Just like butter is there in the milk itself, but it can only be extracted thru a special process, as is fire is present in wood, but there is a special process needed to bring it out, i.e. rubbing it. That is how GOD can only be seen thru third eye or divine eye which is present in every human being.

That third eye can be opened by a perfect master only!

Now the good news, you can see GOD too. Visit http://divyajyoti.org/

Or if u want to ask any more questions, u r most welcome!!...Good Luck... :-)
