Faithful Lillie triumphs Grade A2 480 meters race at Perry Barr
Faithful Lillie topped the Grade A2 race, which was run over a distance of 480 meters on January 8 at Perry Barr. The black and white b***h ran against Scattery Maldine, Macy Court, Sheepwalk Fairy, Trendy Mike and Droopys Immie. The race was full
of twists and turns, as the most favourite hound finished last.
Just after breaking from trap 5, Faithful Lillie, led all the racers and sustained her speed till she finished in 28.94 seconds. The b***h ran for victory in an excellent way, as no one even managed to draw closer to her throughout the race.
It was the 4th consecutive top spot for Faithful Lillie, who started her career on 14 October, 2011. Whelped in August 2009, the daughter of Josiva is trained by G Hodson, who anticipates a promising career for his trainee.
The second top finisher in the race was, Scattery Maldini, who after breaking from trap 6, completed the distance in 29.30 seconds, lagging 4 ½ lengths behind the winner. The dog went all out and snatched the second position from, Macy Court, who came
closer to him for at least three times during the race.
Scattery Maldini finished second for the 11th time in his career which began on October 16, 2010. Trained by J H Smith, he was whelped in September 2008.
Macy Court was the runner to finish third, with a margin of half a length. The b***h finished up in 29.34 seconds, after breaking from trap 3. She tried hard to lead Scattery Maldini, but her efforts were in vain.
Starting on March 11, 2011, Macy Court accomplished this spot for third time in her career. She is trained by B Denby. She was whelped in August 2009.
The fourth hound to finish the race was, Sheepwalk Fairy, who broke from trap 1, and the black and white b***h once led all, but failed to sustain her pace. She is trained by S Ralph.
Trendy Mike finished fifth in the race by completing the distance in 29.52 seconds. He was 0.2 seconds behind Sheepwalk Fairy, after breaking from trap 4.
Sent off as the favourite to win the race, Droopys Immie, finished last in the race with a margin of 0.2 seconds. Trained by C Weatherall, the dog broke from trap 2. He was whelped in March 2009.
The victor bagged 1st prize worth of £67. Scattery Maldini got £23 while Macy Court earned £22. Each one of the other three greyhounds cashed £21.
