I'm trying to memorize my prayers (in arabic) and I feel guilty for not praying them like I should but I think it will be easier once their memorized. So I looked up the islamic prayer times in my area it said Fajr is at 4:37? But then it said something about sunrise (6:03) so do you have from 4:37-6:03 to pray them or do you pray at 4:37 and 6:03?

  1. 6:03 is sunrise, that means the time for Fard Fajr prayer is up. You can pray Fajr salah between 4:37 and 6:03.

    Muslims don't pray during sunrise because that's when idol worshippers and pagans prayed and did their rituals.

  2. My dear friend salam for you. Yes fajr time for sunnah prayer is at  or around 4.37 AM. just 10 minutes before shubuh pray

    er time come.It is better if you make a fajr prayer for 2 raka'ats .Fajr will end if the shubuh time come.After sunrise before the time for zuhur prayer come we can make sunnah prayer for 2 raka'ats or more .It is called dhuha prayer for asking  more subsistence from Allah.It can be done between 7.00 AM upto 11.00 AM

  3. What is your Zip code?

  4. 4:37 is when Fajr time comes in, and 6:03 is when Fajr time ends.

    Also, there's a special prayer about 15 minutes after sunrise called Ishraaq. It's a Nafl prayer, so I would advise you to get used to Fajr and the other obligatory prayers first.

    Salaam =)
