  1. Are you kidding if I got worked up over people wearing Tshirts or slapping stickers on their car I would have killed someone by now. Who cares why he's wearing it as long as he's not going around claiming he's a marine it could be for any purpose. Showing pride in just knowing a jarhead is not bad. I say **** it move on. Also are you in the corps? If not let the corps worry about it.

    EDIT*

That's right now we are giving terrorist liberal jurys and court dates.

  2. Calm down its just a shirt.  We in the Military are collectively pretty bad *** and as such people want to emulate us my little brother is in High School and wears my Old BDU jackets and black boots.

Wearing a full uniform with medals unit patches and insignia is unauthorized but it is rarely inforced.

  3. He is a poser and posers are sad little boys who want people to look at them and say "Doesn't he look tough". Like I said. he's a poser. Blow him off and say to yourself "I will be a member of the United States Navy". He'll probably still be working at Walmart when he's 60.

  4. Explain the shirt more in detail.. I don't understand, it could be bad or good. He could have a dad in the marines or something. If he's wearing it solely to look cool, slap him. What did the shirt look like?

Besides, who would want to be a jarhead. Rather be a squid myself.

Edit: He laughed because you were joining the Navy? Just tell him to recite this...

Marine= My *** Rides In Navy Equipment

  5. The reason the military wears uniforms is so you can tell friend from foe.  But also so you can tell combatant from non-combatant.  The wearing of military style civilian clothes makes it harder to tell them apart.   It could be assumed that if a terrorist attack took place in the USA and a bunch of high school kids wearing quasi-military clothing got killed,  the terrorists could claim that they thought the kids were military.   It would be a lame excuse but it would still be an excuse that they could use.

And some bleeding heart liberal jury would buy it and let them go.

  6. If you are just talking about t-shirts here are a bunch of them.

They get purchased and worn by 16 year old kids, posers, wannabees, and veterans and active duty personnel. I have had requests from active duty army units, former Force Recon and former French Foreign Legion. Lots of people were this stuff and I wouldn't jump to any conclusions. 7. I'm assuming you mean not a Marine Corps t-shirt but an item of clothing that looked like a uniform item.  To me it depends, on any base you'll find little kids clothing that looks like many different Marine uniforms including Blues and I have no problem with that so how can I really say that a designer can't make something similar to the uniform.  I wonder if it had the EGA on it, that I think would be crossing the line.  I do have a problem with people wearing actual uniform items who have never earned them.
