I purchase two K Blade tours on ebay at separate times from separate people. Now, one of the has [R] on the neck of the racquet where it says wilson. On the Second one it says [TM] on the neck of the racquet where it says wilson. could the one with the [R] be FAKE?

I looked on tenniswarehouse and i saw the K Blade and it shows [TM]. Just wondering if the [R] one is a fake

  1. It's entirely possible that the two racquets simply came from different factories, although I would think Wilson would have something like that pretty consistent.  Without seeing and feeling the racquets myself, I really can't make a call on it.

First thing to do, is play with both racquets.  If they play the same, then they're likely both genuine.  Now, if one is obviously different than the other after using them, then one of them is fake.  Also, compare some other markings, too.  The fakes are usually fairly accurate, but there's other inconsistencies in the paint.  Is it the same quality paint job on both?  Are there little mistakes with the patterns on one?  How about something as obvious as head size or length?  If you tap both on the ground, do they sound/react in a similar manner?

If you want to know for sure, though, take both racquets into a certified racquet technician.  He'll be familiar with what the K Blade is supposed to be like.  And he'll probably have the best eye for slight variations.  Just take them into any local pro-shop or club and ask if somebody can take a look at them to make sure they are both real.
