Question:

Fake swiss army knife?

I have two victorinox swiss army knives. They're both the same color and model. They both have the victorinox swiss cross shield sign on them. The only difference between the two is one says "Victorinox Switzerland Stainless Rostfrei" and the other says "Victorinox Swiss Made Stainless".

One of them has to be real, the other fake. I have no idea which one is witch! Could someone help me please!

  1. It's possible that one is older than the other and they just changed the engraving. OR perhaps the translation is different.

If they're both stainless steel, shouldn't matter anyway. They should both cut, and withstand a slight bending.

Swiss army knives aren't really top notch knives. If you had 2 spyderco, onion, or Cold Steel knives and asked me which was was fake and real I'd be able to tell you just by the description.

The quality of a swiss army knife, by mass producing, is similar to an average steak knife. If the engraving was the same, could you tell them apart by sharpness, durability, weight and how long they keep an edge?
