  1. I would suggest using a spray tan- I like Loreal sublime bronze, not the gradual moisture one- but the one in the orange colored can.  use both products and you will achieve a very even tan.  I use a cream and the spray to get even.  the white spots are probably where your skin has a loss of pigmentation and does not create melanin.  I have a few of those too---  also if you have any scars, they will not tan.

  2. Exfoliate your skin before you put it on, and don't put it on immediately after shaving or waxing your legs because it might make your legs irritated and you'll have white spots all over your legs. You may have dry skin, so moisturise your skin regularly to avoid white patches. I don't use gel or cream anymore because i always miss spots or put too much on some places and not on the others, and it doesn't work nearly as well as foam or spray. Foam is great because you can evenly cover your legs/ body without missing spots and it applies really easily. Fake tan starts fading after about 3 days, depending on how much you shower etc etc. Try a foam or spray next time and i'm sure you'll be pleased. xx

  3. I'm not sure how long they last but try putting the gell stuff on the white patches

and try to get a natural tan

  4. Okay, thats pretty normal you just have drier skin where the white patches are.

First step- make sure you exfoliate your whole body before you tan. Make sure you concentrate on your ankles, underneath your feet, your knees, the top of your thighs, your elbows, wrists, knuckes, and also your jawline as these are the places which tend to go dry first. And if you apply fake tan over skin which hasnt been exfoliated, it either goes orange or gets white patches as the old skin cells fall off.

You have white patches either due to dry skin in those areas, or pigmentation. If you have pigmentation, depending on the severity of it, unfortunately this will be hard to fake tan, however this is pretty rare so im guessing it was just some dry skin, next time remember to exfoliate really well. To cover the white patches or streaks use a shimmery moisturser like palmer's cocoa butter shimmer body butter. The shimmer particles reflect light off the streaks which makes it look more even.

Fake tan, depending on the formulation, usually lasts for about 5-7 days. If it was a gel, id say about 4-5 days. Fake tan lotions last the longest as they penetrate the skin much deeper then any other formulation, they last about 7-9 days.

To make sure your tan lasts, make sure you moisturise twice a day, morning and night. This keeps the skin cells nourished, which prevents them from falling off and new ones from coming through (hence, the white patches)
