Atletico Madrid won the game against Real Sociedad, but the Colombian striker, Radamel Falcao, believes that their opponents managed to put up a strong fight and sent out exceptional players.
Even though Real Sociedad were on the losing end of the game against Atletico Madrid, the scorer of the winning goal, Radamel Falcao, believes that the opponents were quite organized and managed to be tough throughout the game.
Atletico Madrid were playing the game in order to take the top spot in La Liga, alongside the Catalan giants, Barcelona.
Both the teams, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, have only managed to draw one game and have won all the other fixtures.
These two are the only sides in La Liga who have not lost a single game. On the other hand, the current Spanish champions, Real Madrid, are currently eight points behind these two teams.
Since Atletico Madrid are in extraordinary form, they were the favourites to win the game against Real Sociedad.
However, the game turned out to be a real challenge for the Spanish capital-based outfit as the only goal which separated the two sides was the free-kick which was scored by the former Porto man, Radamel Falcao.
While speaking about the game against Real Sociedad, Falcao praised his side’s opponents.

The Colombian star said that even though Atletico Madrid have won the match, Sociedad came out to play a good game and they made things difficult for his side.
While speaking about his side’s opponents over the weekend, Radamel Falcao said:
“The team they put out was as expected and they didn’t allow us to play. It was very difficult and they prevented us creating chances, although we knew we could score and that it was important to keep a clean sheet.”
“We have to keep on playing this way and the aim now is to win on Thursday and Sunday, nothing more.”
