  1. You can check out this site;

    songmeanings.com

    it has a whole bunch of idea's as to what the song means=)

  2. "Seven Minutes in Heaven (Atavan Halen)" - The title, and parts of the song, may refer to bassist Pete Wentz's suicide attempt a couple of years ago, by way of an Ativan overdose. [6]. The reference to guitarist Van Halen stems from the similarity of the songs intro riff to a popular chord progression used by Eddie Van Halen in songs such as "Panama" and "Dance the Night Away".

  3. Yes, in 2005 Pete Wentz purposely overdosed on the perscription medication, Ativan, (which is in the song title) before Fall Out Boy's "From Under the Cork Tree" record came out. Wentz stated, "I was isolating myself further and further, and the more I isolated myself, the more isolated I'd feel. I wasn't sleeping. I just wanted my head to shut off, like, I just wanted to completely stop thinking about anything at all.".

    Later Wentz revealed that he decided to stop taking pills when he heard Jeff Buckley's cover of the Leonard Cohen song "Hallelujah" playing. Later, Wentz wrote the lyrics for "Hum Hallelujah" and the song is track 5 on "Infinity On High".

    There are also references that Pete Wentz has written several songs about his suicide attempt. "I've Got A Dark Alley And A Bad Idea That Says You Should Shut Your Mouth" (From Under the Cork Tree) was one of these.
