in florida the leaves dont change and its still very warm, do you think you could pull off a fall theme or would that look a little odd?

also, if a wedding was to be held on friday would 7:00p.m be a good time to hold the ceremony?

thanks:)

  1. Good idea about the time -- it would definitely be cooler.

You could, of course, use autumn collors but I would keep them bright autumn colors such as persimmon, copper, cinnamon, coral and complement those with shades of champagne and ecru.

  2. that theme would be just fine, everyone knows what "fall" looks and feels like. fall is really about warm, vibrant colors, so go wild with deep tones!

also remember, fall is traditionally harvest season, so don;t be afraid to incorporate fruits and vegetables (apples, pears, peas, etc) into your looks. this might help Floridians adjust to the fall feel.

  3. Lavender, is a fall color. I would think that would go in Florida. September is hurricane season...Have back up plans.

  4. Fall theme in September in Florida?  ABSOLUTELY!!  You can create theme and the feel you want by just bringing in the right colors and decor.

7pm on a Friday should not be a problem.  Because your guests will know well enough in advance, they have time to adequately plan for things like getting off work on time (or early if necessary), baby sitters etc.

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!

  5. Fall is known for the colors and no matter what state that's what represents fall so go ahead and live it up :)

7pm sounds good. Enough time to go home and get changed and go over to the wedding.

  6. Fall them is fine as they are warm colors.  7pm on a Friday. depends on if you live in a city where people are going to have to fight  traffic to go home and change and then make it to your ceremony time.  I know some of the bigger cities in Florida it would be nearly impossible to leave work at 5, change and make it to a ceremony at 7pm.  Also will you be serving dinner at the reception as people will have to eat before if there won't be any food. These are all things to consider with the timing of any wedding.

    Edit:

People give me thumbs down, why I am being realistic. The guests are already paying for gifts, clothes and childcare if needed, why should they have to take time off of work to make a wedding.  With the price of food and gas these days people are budgeting based on the normal hours they work, not having to leave work 2-3 hours early to make a wedding.
