Fall/winter season...What bad things to prevent?

Fall & winter season is coming up...Can anyone tell me how can i keep my 10 month old pit-bull safe from infections & other bad parasites for the new seasons? How often should i use frontline or revolution?

Outside parasites won't be a problem - I'd be more concerned with your dog having enough clean water, increased food intake, and having a warm and non-drafty bed.  Also, if you walk your dog on city streets, be sure to clean his feet and pads often - the specialized salt solution they use to melt ice is not good for their feet, not to mention you don't want them ingesting it when they l**k their feet.

If you have fleas in the house, just do a regular flea bomb/vacuum powder regimen and keep yhour dog on a flea/heartworm preventative.

frontline is a once a month thing, i'm not sure about revolution but you should talk to your vet about ways to keep your pup safe and healthy

You should continue with your heartworm meds and the flea and tick meds once a month.  Tick seem to come back with a vengance in the fall so do fleas so keep up with the Front Line Plus of with every topical preventage you use.

If you live in a warm climate then this should be done year round.  

With the leaves falling and some fruit bearing trees droping their fruit you should not allow your pup to much on them.  If if they are fit for humans to eat it will cause stomach upset to your pup.  Especially if it will eat the whole fruit including the seeds which are toxic.

Paracties are a danger to dogs year round so you should always be on the look out for anything your dog may pick up.

Frontline every month even winter months. Usually if your dog is vaccinated and wormed as a pup you need only get stool checked yearly, unless dog is around other pups infected. Unless they show signs of maybe being wormy like scooting butt, or changes in coat or diarrhea.
