Fallen For You scores for trainer Gosden, and rider Buick in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot
It was none other than, Fallen For You, who claimed a magnificent victory in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot on 22nd June, 2012 - consequently making her connections beam with pride.
The daughter of Dansili, out of mare Fallen Star, did not mind the soft surface, and excelled on the 1 mile track, under the command of rider, William Buick.
The experienced jockey brought out the best in the young runner, and guided her well to a 3 ¼ length victory over, Starscope, while the third place was secured by the Godolphin owned, Irish History.
The real surprise in this race was the performance of Homecoming Queen, who is trained by A. P. O’Brien and was mounted by his son, Joseph O’Brien.
The bay filly raised the level of expectations, when she bagged the victory in the Group 1 Qipco 1,000 Guineas Stakes at Newmarket on 6th May, 2012, but this time the daughter of Holy Roman Emperor, out
of mare Lagrion, finished eighth and missed the victory by a tremendous margin of 16 ½ lengths.
The winning trainer was pleased with the performance of his runner, as he stated:
"She trained beautifully, worked well last Sunday morning, and we were ready for a big run. They went hard up front, there's a strong headwind and she was just sat there. She is classy, this is not a fluke."
Fallen For You, trained by John Gosden, improved dramatically from her sixth place finish last out in the Group 3 Betfred Mobile Chartwell Fillies' Stakes at Lingfield on 12th May, 2012 - which was won by Sir Henry Cecil trained,
Chachamaidee.
Gosden and Buick combination has proven to be a winning combination, as they had  success with the two-year-old, Newfangled, in the Group 3 Albany Stakes, where she justified her status as race favourite, and bolted through the six furlong track.
The young runner earned the second victory over the Peter Chapple-Hyam trained, Agent Allison.
The jockey and the trainer paired up to run the four-year-old, Gatewood, in the Wolferton Handicap (Listed Race) on the same card, which he conquered by defeating, Black Spirit, by a neck.
