I am diagnosed with depression, pre-diabetic, and polycystic ovarian syndrome...I take Wellbutrin XL, Metformin, Depakote ER, and Prozac...well I drive a 15 passenger van for work, and between the hours of 645 am to 830 am then again from 2pm to 430pm...there are times that i fall asleep while driving, but if I am in my own vehicle or any other vehicle this does not happen...its like my eyes just close on me and i try to fight it, but i cant, they only close for like a few seconds, and yes i know this is dangerous, but i dont know what to do, i have mentioned it to several professionals, and i am seeing an Endocrinologist, but they just worried about the polycystic ovarian thing, and I am thinking it has more to do with something else...I do go to bed at regular times like 11pm to 12am, then i wake up like at 6, but i come home and go back to sleep, but yet, when i drive in the afternoons, this problem still happens...it bothers me a lot...i am thankful to GOD that i have not have any kind of accidents...this scares me too, when i come to after my eyes close on me...it makes me mad at the same time...i only take certain meds in the morning to try to keep me going, and some at night to get me to sleep...but i still dont know...i feel as though i have a good quantity of sleep, just not a good quality of sleep, cos i know i get enough sleep, but i just feel tired sometimes....please is there any medical advice out here from a professional that could help.????????

  1. Is there a possibility there is a leak in the van that might be causing you carbonmonoxide poisoning?  If you continue to feel sleepy, figure out what the reason is before it might be too late and you hurt yourself or someone else.  Try keeping the windows open.  Good Luck and stay safe.

  2. Your medications are causing you to be excessively drowsy.  You are endangering others lives, so see the write kind of doctor, a psychiatrist, to have your medications adjusted or changed, or quit driving.
