Falling Dream Question

ok so they say that falling dreams happen in the first state of sleep

then why do i get falling dreams when its day time outside and im supposed to wake up in and hour anyway

I dont think it's just the first state of sleep, as we sleep there are several different levels of how deep in sleep we are. I think it happens on a level where our sleep is kind of shallow be it we just closed our eyes or we've been sleeping for hours.

Maybe its a way that our body is trying to get us out of sleep, just what i think from my experience.
