Falling Elevator Dream?

I've had this dream where an elevator filled with people suddenly comes crashing down to the floor level while I helplessly watch from afar. This happened not only once, but twice in the same dream. What was disturbing about it was that I remember hearing the people scream as the elevator fell. What would be the meaning of this dream? Especially when I'm not in the elevator itself?

I think this means that you feel powerless and helpless. All sorts of things are happening around you and you can't do anything about it.

The fact that you can hear them scream maybe means that you KNOW things are wrong. You're (subconsciously) aware that something's wrong.

Think about your life; is there anything that you want to change (i.e: someone's being bullied and you can't do anything about it) but can't for some reason?

That's my interpretation anyway. Hope I helped.

PS: I don't think the falling is the main symbol, but more the helplessness.
