Well I find it funny when people talk about dreams, especially when they talk about falling dreams. and usually they all say that they wake up before they hit the ground and that if you do you will die. and then I always laugh and say that's not true because I have hit the ground all the time. this is my most common dream where i fall from a really high place and i can feel myself falling through tree branches and then bang i feel myself hit the ground so bloody hard but I'm always OK then usually i get back up and do it over and over again. The pain is so realistic.

Why do you think that i never wake up. i have never really thought about why it happens.

  1. I've only woke up once in a dream I was falling in. I was passing my brother in the bottom bunk. No joke, woke in time to pull my knees down and hit them first.

I think dreams of falling sometimes represent your feeling out of control in your life.

I once had a dream I was standing next to death on a cliff at the ocean, then I got shot and fell, I dream in colors also. Saw I saw blood and felt the pain. After that where I got shot a purple mark showed up, it would disappear for awhile then show up again. One day it just never faded away. There's more to this dream but I'll keep it to myself.

  2. idk but if you find out could you please tell me cuz i want to be able to do that

  3. I've had that once or twice. What sucks is the mind thinks it really hit something for a while, and it hurts. I wake up all the time with pains that last all day from my dreams. Let me tell you, a chainsaw to the arm is not a pleasant experience. Have you ever had a half-asleep dream where you fall, then jerk awake?

  4. Your mind must be confident that your body will not actually get hurt, especially since you've had these dreams so often.

Most people (like me) believe we're actually falling and our bodies give an involuntary jerk to protect itself from hitting the ground. This happens in real life, making us wake up before we hit the ground in the dream.

    At least that's my theory.

  5. i dont know but every drwam lasts 8 seconds and the reason why it seems so realistic is because its all in your mind, youve fell down before right? thats how youve felt :P

and i swear sometimes in my dreams i am eating yogurt and it tastes so real..

you dont wake up because you dont really fall..

    and im no proffesor
