It could go either way. If you tell them how you feel and the other person doesn't feel the same way it may make it akward, even to the point of ruining the friendship. You may get along great as friends, but romantically, that's awhole different level, and you may not click.

However it has also been said that dating your best friend is the way to go. You both know so much of each other, your secrets, your annoying quirks, how NOT to tick each other off, LOL. Most couples become best friends after getting married. Think about it, when you get married, your spouse does become your best friend, they are the ones that are there with and for you 24/7, and you two already have that bond.

Why not try and figure out how the other person feels about you. Ask mutual friends to do a little investigating and find out for you. If he/she feels the same, then maybe it's worth a try. You don't want to go around wondering what could of been then regreting your choice of not asking them out.

Bad idea. When u take ur friendship further than its meant to go, u'l start seeing the not so desirable side of him/her that u were oblivious to when u were only interested in them as a friend. Either way, unless ur sure its TRUE LOVE, ur friendship will never be the same. And u might realise that u only loved them as a friend or sibling and nothing more, nothing less..

kinda need more details , this kinda thing is complicated cauz its your best mate ,

do u really think they likes you aswell? if u get any kind of vibe that they does thats good, but be carefull your not jst convincing urself this :/

if you think they don't or arent sure , id wait for now , if u still like them after a while , maybe consider speaking about it and u can both tke it from there , its not necessarily the end of the friendship if he doesnt !

if theyr a good mate they listen and understand and not get all weird with you .

You can't help your feelings. On one hand, it can be good to get things out in the open for both of your sakes. On the other, things may never feel the same again... either way, a friend is at least what you should have.

could be the best decision or one of the worst decisions of your life, if they don't feel the same way about you i would try to hold your feelings back at least for a while
