Fallout: New Vegas to get a DLC, US to get Beyond Good & Evil HD
The Fallout New Vegas, Old World Blues, downloadable content pack has been announced by the game’s developer, Bethesda Studios.
Along with the DLC, an update is expected for the game that will both improve the game and make it more stable, in areas where players were experiencing issues and glitches.
Bethesda do not seem to be slowing down either, as they have already announced that the next DLC for the game is already under development. Dubbed ‘Lonesome Road’, the DLC will be the fourth of its kind for the game. It will join Dead Money, Honest Hearts
and, the nearly-released, Old World Blues DLC packs.
The game is expected to be priced at the standard €9.99 or £7.49, depending on the customer’s preference, and will cost around 800 Microsoft Points on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Scheduled for a 19th July release date, fans of the game have just under a month to wait till they can get their hands on more Fallout: New Vegas action. Fans in Europe, however, will have to wait an extra day, as the DLC is to be released on
the 20th of July in that region.
In short, players in the United States will have a full 24 hours of bragging rights over their European counterparts.
Meanwhile Ubisoft has been on the receiving end of heaps of praise from critics for their re-mastering of the PlayStation 2 cult classic, Beyond Good & Evil, by recreating the game in High Definition.
Beyond Good & Evil HD is set to finally make its way on to PlayStation 3 consoles after a relatively, and surprisingly, large amount of hype for a remake of an old game.
The game is set for release on the PlayStation Store only, meaning players will only be able to own a digital copy, which is another change from the DVDs used by the PlayStation 2 console. A digital release makes sense as the game would surely take up too
little memory on the beastly Blu-Ray disc.
While European gamers hold bragging rights over their American counterparts here, seeing as they already have access to the game. The Americans need not have to wait long to even the score, as Beyond Good & Evil HD is scheduled to release in the US PlayStation
Store on the 28th of June.
Those who do download the game from the PlayStation Store will also receive two avatars for use over the PlayStation Network, free of cost. With a price of just $9.99 the deal sounds like a good one for those looking for a bit of gaming nostalgia.
