False negatives!.. Are they common before your period is due?? Please help!!

HI. my LMP was July 13-17 ovulation tests were positive the 28-1 and we had intercourse plenty to get pregnant. Any way my next period should arrive around the 13-15 but I went ahead and tested today and got a negative.. is this common since my period is not even due yet.. has this hap pend to any of you and your test came out positive later on after missed period?

Yes if you are pregnant your levels might not be high enough until you miss your period or even a few days after.  Wait a few days and test again.  Once pregnant your levels double every day so a few days can make a big difference.  Also something to take note of, digital pregnancy tests require higher levels to test positive.  Use the +/- ones instead if you are going to test early.  Good luck!

Every test I've taken before my period was due that resulted in BFN was exactly what it was supposed to be.... BFN  :(  With my last first pregnancy, I was one day late and got a STRONG positive.  With my second pregnancy, I wasn't due for my period for a few days, I just had a "feeling" and it too was a strong positive, in the afternoon to boot.  I am refraining from taking any early pregnancy tests this month as I am starting to believe they are a bad omen and a jinx for me lol.  It's VERY possible you could still be pregnant and you are just testing too early.  I would wait (I know that's next to impossible!!) until the day your period is due before testing again.  Best of luck to you and truckloads of sticky baby dust!!  I hope August is the month, seems to be for a few other of my contacts already!!

My last pregnancy I tested & it was negative. 3 days later I tested & It was postive. I was 2 days late.

Sadly I went on to lose that baby , but sometimes the baby takes longer to implant or it just takes a few days for HCG to get in your system.
