Question:

False positive or what??

I took a test (yesterday) 7 days before my period was to be due. Well, at first it looked negative in dim lighting and a hard to see verticle sign in brighter light. Well, I looked at it today and the verticle line is darker. But it's been 24 hours since I've looked at it. All of the tests I have taken before, the lines disappear within 24 hours. I'm going to take another test in a week, but would this be a positive with a delayed reaction or could it be the test showing a different sign after so many hours?

  1. Take another test. You cant trust what it shows after so long. Usually I thinks its like after 10 minutes. Just take another one.

  2. No matter what you see, test results are no longer valid after the time frame given by the test directions.  Also, if the line is a grey/whitish line, it's probably an evaporation line.  It can be faint, but it has to have the coloring of the test line (usually pink) and it has to show within the time frame to be considered a positive.  But that is really early to test, so I'd say wait even just a few more days and try again.

  3. Get the test that say pregnant or not pregnant. Best of luck!

    EDIT:

i guess i am confused. I thought the question pertained to whether or not you could see the line. The other test is the same test, just easier to read the answer.
