I moved into a private rented house 3 weeks ago. Yesterday i received my first written warning regarding execessive noise late into the night! I do play my music but its off by 9 0 clock ands its by no means loud. I live down a ten foot with 10 houses and ive asked every neighbour and they have no problems with noise, some of the neighbours even play theirs full blast til mid night. What i need to know is where do i stand, im going into the letting agents tommorrow because im annoyed ive been accused of something i did not do. Is it fair to receive a formal written notice without a verbal warning first??? Also there is no proof obviously because there has been no noise my my house.

  1. someone who lives nearby clearly doesn't like ya for some reason,or it might be a mistaken identity...go to the agents and sort it out, they don't have proof anyway..

  2. I understand to an extent. I was falsely accused of APPROACHING someone and then verbally harassing them. I wasn't even talking to or about them or him or her or whatever ....aaahhhhh
