In the movie Hot Rod (2007), Andy Samburg's character Rod tells his younger step-brother Kevin that the safety word for their speed management training will be "whiskey", placing heavy emphasis on the H sound. They have a short big of dialog regarding Rod's speech during which Rod continues to over-emphasis the H's.

In Family Guy, in the episode where Meg was in love with Brian. Meg had baked a pie with her hair as an ingredient and given it to Brian. When Stewie enters, he asks for a slice and then asks for some cool whip, also placing a heavy emphasis on the "H". They discuss it for a few lines of dialog, very similar to the scene in Hot Rod.

My question is who copied who and was it intentional??

  1. That episode is "Barely Legal" and it aired on Dec, 17, 2006.  So the movie would be copying Family Guy

(if that's where they got the idea, at least.  This might be an old gag that we just haven't seen before.)
