I live in Sandpoint, ID and my grandfather recently passed a pool table on to us, but it is in a bad condition and need to find a place to refurbish it close by, could someone give me the contact information for the nearest place to Sandpoint, ID that refurbishes pool tables?

  1. Check your Yellow Pages under Pool Tables. Some Manafacturers will do complete rebuilds as well.

  2. I live in Florida but can give you some ideas. You will need to contact two different trades. First, call a local pool room and ask them who recovers their tables and they will be able to provide you with some leads. Get them to the house and ask them how much they want to disassemble the table for you and then come back when the refinishing is complete. That is going to cost in the neighborhood of $250 to $450 depending on the size of the table and what clothe you use. I suggest Samonis and some fresh bumbers. Second, contact and consult someone in town that specilaizes in furniture re-finishing and ask them for a quote for your table. Actually, a good place to start with that is by calling a nearby High School and asking for the shop teacher in the wood department. A Vocational School will work as well if there is one in your area. Before you go to all of that trouble you may want to find the brand name on the table and contact a manufacturer and ask them if the table is worth restoring. The retail value and sentimental value of something will often be miles apart in terms of monetary worth. I hope this helped.
