So the week before we fly out we want everyone to meet up for a meal and drinks...

We are from South East London - any ideas??

  1. Loch fyne is wonderful, great seafood!

So many choices, even for the ones who don't like fish!

There are many around London so look on their website!

I would recommend the Lobster, it's great!

The seafood platter is absolutely stunning, go for this if everyone wants to share because it's got so many types of seafood!

    Hope this helps!

and by the way congratulations on your wedding and the wedding in jamaica sounds to die for !   xx

  2. Congratulations

As you are going to Jamaica to be married would be nice to have a Carribbean theme for all those who missed out

    Try

    Its much more traditional

Speaking from personal experience I would suggest the Mango Room in Camden - nowhere near SE London but a very good restaurant. Doesn't suffer the poor service or rudeness you usually get. I dont usually go to west indian restaurants cos of the attitude and the fact I can make the food myself but I always make an exception with the Mango room. Its right near Camden station - but check in advance becuase sometimes mainly during the day this station is closed.

I believe the Mango room is £22 per head...its a mixed crowd (races/ careers/backgrounds etc) They do a party menu where you dont have to pre book. this works out to £20 a head for 2 courses and £24 for 3 courses. The food isnt as traditional as the other restaurant but it makes a change.

Good luck with your wedding and dinner!!!!!!!

  3. KFC bargain bucket.

  4. Depends on where in SE London you're looking for, and what type of cuisine. If it's a large group, you can check out restaurants with private room space and venues that cater for groups on toptable.

You can search for restaurants by area on London-Eating too:

  5. Depends on the cuisine you're after..?

Imperial China in China Town is a fabulous gem amongst the sand.

Prices aren't too bad, service is quick and pleasant and they have rooms you can book, including Karaoke!! :-)

  6. You must try The New World in China Town for one of the best dim-sum restaurants in London. The endless array of  hot dishes and steamed delicacies, are constantly passing your table on trolleys. You simply stop one, and the willing staff will describe what delights they have, make your selection, and they serve you instantly. It`s a great fun way to sample numerous delights, so you can choose little tasters or as many dishes as you wish. The wine is extremely reasonable, so you will be well within your budget. For a great meal, very reasonably priced in the heart of the west end, and a fun relaxed eating experience, you must try it. I`ve taken friends, family, and business colleagues, they all loved it! Tips:- Do not order everything on the first trolley. There really is a vast selection, take your time (no matter how tempting), there`s loads of choices, Enjoy! Sorry, dim sum is only available lunchtime up `till about 4.00pm.

  7. For friendly and good, but cheap go to ASK or Pizza Express, great food at both.
