Family Vacation...Caribbean w/ teens?

Question

There are going to be 7-9 of us travelling...

6 are between ages 17-20....there is also a little boy age 6...

The teens are hoping to spend a day at the beach and be able to swim...and also go out at night to clubs...

We have been to Ixtapa, Cabo San Lucas, and Cancun...

Our favorite was Cabo (especiall because of the weather)

We are looking into Puerto Vallarta, Punta Cana, Jamaica, or somewhere else in the Dominican Republic...

St thomas, Aruba, Barbados and Playa Del Carmen have also been suggested...

Please let us know youre experience w/ weather, night light and activities...we are hoping to go in late December...

Also-- name nice hotels...not leaning towards All inclusives but if they are over the top..feel free to list them...

Also trying to keep a budget of less than $8000

One place out of the Dominican republic your MUST visit is the AMAZING Grand Cayman Island! It's a little expensive, but it truely is worth the experience!

The hotel we stayed at was the Mariott Beach Resort. It was terrific location because you could walk almost everywhere! The only thing about the Mariott is that the Front Desk Service is VERY slow, but once you are checked in, it's worth wild!

My family went with my best friend's family. We had a BLAST together! My favorite place of all was RUM POINT! The beach looks like it was pulled out of a postcard. Some people say it's great for snorkeling, but honestly, when we went there we didn't see any fish.

Try looking into the possibilities of going to Curacao. Has great beaches, nice atmosphere,  plenty to do and nice hotels as well. Best all inclusive would be the Breezes Hotel right now.

Is that budget including air? If so, what's your departure city? How many days?

For 9 people, traveling around the holidays is going to be tough with a $8,000 budget. The money is huge but so is the amount of people traveling.

Punta Cana DR and Playa del Carmen are mostly all-inclusive resorts but the most affordable resorts.

If you can rent a house in St Thomas, that is a wonderful islands for the 17-20 year olds. The 6 year old would enjoy also.
