So, I am wondering where are some great vacation spots for families? Some where tropical like a beach. No Disney, Bahamas, Cruises or anywhere in Illinois or Tennessee or something. Somewhere like Florida. So can you help me? Thanks!

  1. If you are looking for a beach, you could either try Florida or North Carolina.

Having never been to N Carolina yet (although I am going later in Aug) I can't tell you too much except that I have heard from people I know who have been there that it is absolutely beautiful and not that crowded.

As for Florida, any of the beaches will work in my guess, although I would stick to the ocean side as personally I am not a fan of the Gulf.

the other place I would suggest is the US virgin Islands.  Since they are part of America you wouldn't need passports but they are still in the Caribbean.  try : http://www.usvi.net/index.html

  2. Hawaiii or Las Vegas?

  3. For any kind of information related to travel, hotels, car rental, Flights, any information related to travel use http://www.europeanvacation2.com, search using search box , you will find detail information.

  4. San Diego is wonderful for families--nice beaches, but lots more than that.  You can send your kids to surf camp or to kayak while you tour a local winery.  The restaurants are amazing (a great deal of the food is grown locally) and there's the SD Zoo, Balboa Park and Sea World.  There's no feeling of "Disney staged all of it" which I think you're trying to get away from, and there are plenty of things for intelligent adults to enjoy.  Depending on the time of year, you can whale watch.  You can spend a day in Mexico.  There are classes for all water sports, for kids and adults.  And, SD is a great shopping town.

If you're up for longer air travel, then Honolulu or Maui.
