Family doesn't seem like they want us to visit?

Question

I'm in Vegas and just me and my mom live together... We planned to go see our family in California on the 14th - we rented a car and everything and I was really excited. My family in California live in a nice house consisting of grandma, grandpa, uncle and (when she's taken her meds) aunt.

So I called them today and I said "We're coming to California to come visit you guys"... My Grandma sounded like she didn't want us to come. I asked for their address and she asked her my G-PA and he said don't give it to me. And was saying stuff like "Where did your mom get the money to come?" and "Your not staying up here permanently like your going back home right?" She said she wanted my mom to call and get the address..

Now I don't even want to go. I got so offended. My uncle is kind of arrogant and I don't think he likes my mom.

And now they act like they don't want us to come.. But said they DID want us to come. It just didn't seem genuine.

What do you think? I'm depressed bout it

i would go, but just not talk to them, if my family did that to me, i wouldn't talk to them

That is so mean of your Uncle. Tell your mom what he said. Ohh that makes me mad for you. Dont let it bother to much sweetie.

They probably don't want you to come over, for whatever reason. It's their problem, not yours, but you should definitely tell your mom all this.

If someone doesn't want you paying a visit then don't go. You

will hate being there.  What kind of grandparents would be so

rude.  You and your mom need to stay home and do something fun together.  I hope you can cancel the car rental.

How does your mom feel about going ?  Has the family always been cold or is there more to your story that you left

out.
