Family history help- i'm trying to get info on surnames-stavey and frederick from germany?

I need to find a free site or someone who knows how i can find more about my great great grandparents- john frederick and sophia anna stavey. i do know they were born in frankfurt germany and died in belmont Iowa- i think they might have been born around 1860 ish. but dont know any more-
