Family of four. 7 day cruise. how many large (not handbags) bags do u take?

as many as it takes to have enough clothes for all foe 7 days at least 2 formal out fits each there are 2 formal dinners on a 7 day cruise the rest casual to smart casual but do take some carry ons with meds bathing suits and change of clothes and of course all cruise documents and bon voyage

One bag per person is plenty, you may want to back some collapsible bags to put your souvenirs in.  I don't know about everybody else, but I always bring back much more than I started with.

It depends on how many rooms you get/size of room.  If you're getting an inside stateroom or anything of that size that all four of you will be sharing, two of you will be able to take two large bags and two of you will only be able to get one.  If you have seperate bedrooms then you will each be able to get at least two bags per person.  If you have a larger room, two or three per person.

You can take as many bags on board as you want - there is no limit. If you're flying also, then there is a limit - no more then 2 bags per person to be checked, and 1 carryon, plus a personal item.

Four people is four bags. One rule of tumb is to not carry more than your family could carry by hands a short distance. Johan

I would average a suitcase a person and 1 extra for anything you bring back. If your traveling with a woman most women take at least 2. We just came back from a cruise this past week ourselves. My 2 girlfriends and I had 2 suit cases a piece plus a duffel, and my brother had 2 large duffels. It also depends how long your going to be gone.

I would take the least amount of baggage possible, just because of the fact of limited space inside your stateroom.
