Question:

Family trip to the Bahamas; please give me some tips and ideas?

We're planning a family trip to the Bahamas for next summer. We would like to take a ferry or a cruise from Ft Lauderdale or some other port to the Bahamas and then spend a week or so there. We would probably fly back home from Nassau.

Kids ages are 8, 11 and 16. Any ideas or suggestions will really help us.

Thanks in advance for your time and assistance.

  1. 1st off , you need to decide if you want to take a cruise OR spend a week at a resort in the Bahamas ; you can't take a cruise ship to Nassau & just get off to check into a resort . There are many 3 & 4 night cruises from Florida to the Bahamas to choose from , as well as 7 or more day cruises that visit the Bahamas & several other ports . Please email me ( gerry@snapshottravelagency.com ) with some additional details ( dates , departure airport - if you aren't already in florida - BUDGET , preferences , etc. ) and I will get you a vacation that fits your needs , at the best price possible .  There are many resorts throughout the Carribbean that are family oriented and offer "kids stay free" promotions that might be a better fit for you , email me & let me work on a family vacation that will meet 7 exceed your expectations !  Regards , Gerry donnelly , Snapshot Travel

  2. atlantis is the best place for you to visit.  it is paradise for kids.  they  have the large aquariam,  water slides,  game room, and a p*****n club.  your kids will never be bored there.

  3. If you go to discovery cruise line's website they have where you can take one of their ships over to the bahamas. It leaves from Miami and goes into nassau
