I have to do a project in French on a popular French-speaking holiday destination apart from France. Anyone have any ideas? I need to be able to access a lot of info about the region online. Any links would be appreciated. I was thinking Corsica or Rennes....any opinions on those two?

Thanks!!! :)

  1. Why not Tahiti which is part of French Polynesia?

  2. sorry, my english is not fluent, but if you say "apart from france", that means "no french places" ? but corsica, rennes, marseilles or cannes are in france...

great holiday destinations that are not in france :

    - the Antilles islands, in the caraibs : Guadeloupe, Martinique or Saint-Barthélémy (well-known "Saint-Barth' ")

    - the Réunion island, very interesting, a melting-pot place between asia, africa and europe.

    - the french Polynesia (Tahiti, Muruora...) : lots of american tourists.

  3. I would say do either the cote d'azur or another interesting option would be the island of reunion (the e has an accent on it)

  4. Corsica and Rennes are part of France, so it won't work for your project.

You could try one of the DOM/TOM (Departement d'Outre Mer, Territoire d'Outre Mer) like Martinique, Guadeloupe, les Seychelles Islands, French Guyana , la Reunion, Madagascar, Tahiti,

  5. St. Pierre et Michelon are two French owned islands off the coast of Newfoundland in Canada.

Also the province of Quebec is very French and French speaking, they have a wonderful website listed below.
