A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day.  Teach a man to fish, and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

But seriously, folks...

You cannot lose education.  You can lose your car.  You can lose your house.  You can lose your laptop computer.  The library can burn down.  But whatever you put into your brain, stays there.  It's like a bank account that gains interest when you draw something out.

Invest in your knowledge and your skills, and you will always have more than enough to share.
