  2. The most famous fountain in France I believe is the the garden fountains of the Palace of Versailles which is near Paris. The fountain is called Latona and it tells a story taken from Ovid's poem 'Metamorphoses'.

    There are also Wallace Fountains which are public drinking fountains and they are small cast iron sculptures found throughout Paris, mainly on the most frequented streets.

    Then there is Aix which is a city in France and it is often referred to 'as the city with a thousand fountains'.
