Fan Tail Goldfish...?

Question

is it better to have real live plants with fantail goldfish and is it true that goldfish produce alot of nitrate which also feeds the plants in the aquarium???>....

i just bought 2 plants yesterday and replaced it with a fake plant. it looks more natural...

i love using live plants but

most goldfish will eat plants

i would get silk plants

Plants can help some with nitrates, and I have never had an issue with goldfish eating plants.  I'd say that it is a matter of your choice, but if you see that the goldfish has damaged that plant then I would recommend switching it with a fake.
