Fan in the GE microwave (over range top)

Question

The fan went on by itself. We unpluged the microwave and plugged it in again. It says reset. After the message went off the fan went on again. We can touch high and then off and it will stop for about 2 seconds but will start again by itself. I had to unplug the microwave and we cannot use it since the fan won't go off
