Fan oven element

Question

I own a smeg single oven model se335ss-5. Everything seems to still work including the grill element, fan, light etc. except there is no heat from the oven. (There is heat when the fan grill setting is selected). I believe the fan element has gone. Can anyone advise if this is correct and is there any way of testing the element before ordering a new one?
