Fan will only operate in Low Speed

Question

Wiring is correct. Light works just fineIf I select medium or high on the remote control the receiver emits a high pitch beep and the entire fan seems to be trying to reset itself. I suspect the issue is because I need to turn the fan speed to high but I don' t see a manual switch anywhere on the inside or outside of the fan. Is this the issue or is it something else/
