Question:

Fan withought electricity/battery.?

Like to somehow make one, that'll rotate without or with little power.

Like how those earthquake things/ metal thingys on peoples desk's kepp rocking or sliding or whatever.

  1. Use a piece of paper, fold it in several places and then staple one end trogether, spread the other end, and hold it in your hand. When you want a breeze, move your hand.


  2. A basic law of reality is that if a device imparts energy to its surroundings, at least as much energy must be put into it to make it work.  A fan imparts energy to air, causing it to move in ways that it otherwise would not, and therefore, energy must be input to the system to make it work.

    The little "thingy" you speak of moves because you put a little energy in to get it going... the device is designed specifically to reduce the loss of its initial energy by friction to surfaces and surrounding air, so it rocks for a long time (it is impossible to completly eliminate frictional losses, so it will stop eventually).  

    Perpetual motion is a myth, there is no free ride in the universe... sorry.

  3. so, like, you can't totally do it, whatever.
