Question:

Fancy dining in Toronto?

My wife and I are planning a trip to Toronto/Montreal in October and neither of us have ever eaten at somewhere super fancy.

I was wondering what is the best place to find something like that in the city. We are looking for the best food, best atmosphere, everything. I am talking like a 5 Star restaurant.

Cost really isn't an issue as long as it is not ludicrous.

French food is preferred, but we will consider anything.

  1. In Toronto try Scaramouche or One

and in Montreal try Ferreiras, Med, or Cavalli

  2. if your a sushi fan, one of my favourite places downtown is Ki in the BCE place.

  3. Most of the nicer restaurants in Toronto would be in Downtown. One of my favourites is Captain John's, it's on the Harbourfront and it is in a large ship! It's a seafood restaurant, so I don't know if you and your wife would enjoy that or not. My husband and I loved it there. Their food was good, the restaurant was fancy and the service was excellent. Our meals cost us about 20 dollars per plate, so it's fairly affordable. You can also also check the Toronto website to see which type of restaurant you and your wife would most enjoy. Hope you enjoy your trip!

  4. In Toronto take her up to the CN Tower, its very nice, fancy but not too fancy, the tower rotates once around in an hour. The now have a glass bottom elevator outside the tower besides the glass bottom floor which you can visit, its included in your reservation.

The menu is actually very good, but the variety is limited.

You need to make a reservation at the Canadian National Tower on line or phone.
