f***y Babou of CNS ST-Esteve secured gold medal of the Women’s 100m breaststroke on third day of 2012 French Short Course Nationals on Saturday, November 17.
Babou stifled hopes of her opponents in the four-lap breaststroke discipline as she went full rampant from the start and occupied the title. She faced tough competition from her toughest challenger and proved her mettle for the title.
With her notable form in the race, Babou managed to outperform her toughest contender over the finishing wall for gold medal by producing a time of 1 minute and 07.65 seconds.
The gold medallist was followed by Sophie de Ronchi of ES Massy Natation, who was 0.16 seconds apart and stepped on the victory stand for silver medal by clocking a time of 1 minute and 07.81 seconds.
The silver medallist was traced by Sarah Vaisse of Amiens Metropole Nat., who stayed 1.05 seconds behind and occupied third position of the race by producing a time of 1 minute and 08.86 seconds.
Fourth spot of the event was secured by Julia Vendeville of CN Brest, who was 0.32 seconds apart and concluded her race in a time of 1 minute and 09.18 seconds.
Vendeville was followed by Carmella Kitching of AC Hyeres, who was 0.33 seconds slower and concluded her race in fifth place by touching the wall with a timing of 1 minute and 09.51 seconds.
Kitching was traced by Coralie Dobral of Montauban Natation, who was 0.55 seconds behind and completed her race in sixth place by touching the wall with an effort of 1 minute and 10.06 seconds.
Seventh fastest spot of the race was obtained by Solene Gallego of Dauphins Toulouse OEC, who was 0.47 seconds slower and tapped the wall with a timing of 1 minute and 10.53 seconds.
Eight spot of the race was obtained by Adeline Williams of Montpellier of ANUC, who was only an inch behind and completed her race in a time of 1 minute and 10.76 seconds.
In addition, Babou was delighted with her notable form in the race and collected medal at the prize ceremony of the event.
