f***y Lecluyse clinches Women’s 200m breaststroke gold: 2012 French Short Course Nationals
f***y Lecluyse of Lille Metropole Natation clinched gold medal of the Women’s 200m breaststroke on second day of 2012 French Short Course Nationals on Friday, November 16.
Lecluyse lived up to the expectations of her supporters by dominating the final round of the 200m discipline. She enjoyed a comfortable lead over her strongest rival and reached the wall for the crown.
With her impeccable pace, Lecluyse remained two body lengths ahead of her following swimmer and seized the title by touching the wall with a nice effort of 2 minutes and 24.03 seconds.
The gold medallist was followed by f***y Babou of CNS St-Esteve, who stayed 2.41 seconds behind and occupied silver medal of the race by producing an effort of 2 minutes and 26.44 seconds.
The silver medallist was followed by Coralie Dobral of Montauban Natation, who was one and a half body length lead over her closest competitor and earned bronze medal of the race by posting a time of 2 minutes and 27.96 seconds.
Fourth spot of the race was obtained by Julia Vendeville of CN Brest, who was 0.46 seconds apart and settled on the finishing end by producing a time of 2 minute and 28.42 seconds.
Vendeville was chased by Fantine Lesaffre of Mulhouse On, who suffered a loss of only 0.14 seconds behind and concluded her race in fifth place by posting a time of 2 minutes and 28.56 seconds.
Lesaffre was trailed by Adeline Thenot of AC Bobigny, who remained 1.70 seconds slower and occupied sixth position of the event by submitting a time of 2 minutes and 30.26 seconds.
Seventh fastest spot of the race was obtained by Geraldine Huffner of Montpellier Anuc, who was two and a half body lengths slower and ended her swim in a time of 2 minutes and 32.73 seconds.
Last spot of the race was obtained by f***y Deberghes of Dauphins Palois, who stayed prominently slower from her preceding swimmer and clocked an effort of 2 minutes and 34.10 seconds.
In addition, Lecluyse was contented with her title claiming effort and raked medal after the event.
