f***y Lecluyse earns Women’s 200m IM gold: 2012 French Short Course Nationals
f***y Lecluyse of Lille Metropole Natation earned gold medal of the Women’s 200m Individual Medley (IM) on day one of 2012 French Short Course Nationals on Thursday, November 15.
Lecluyse stifled hopes of her opponents in the eight-lap discipline and transpired on the finishing blockade for gold medal.
With her impeccable pace, Lecluyse smothered hopes of her opponents in the 200m discipline and occupied gold medal of the event by producing an effort of 2 minutes and 12.85 seconds.
The champion was traced by Sophie de Ronchi of ES Massy Natation, who was 0.33 seconds slower and clocked a timing of 2 minutes and 13.18 seconds for silver medal.
The second position holder was followed by Fantine Lesaffre of Mulhouse On, who was full body length away from her foregoing finisher and stepped on the victory stand for bronze medal with a timing of 2 minutes and 14.23 seconds.
Similarly, fourth position of the race was obtained by Isabelle Mabboux of Ac Boulogne-Billancourt, who remained 1.80 seconds behind and settled on the finishing blockade by submitting an effort of 2 minutes and 16.03 seconds.
Mabboux was traced by Adeline Martin of CN Antibes, who suffered a loss of only 1.05 seconds from her foregoing finisher and occupied fifth position of the race by reporting an effort of 2 minutes and 17.08 seconds.
Sixth position of the event was obtained by Marine Bacchetta of ES Massy Natation, who was only 0.48 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and clocked a time of 2 minutes and 17.56 seconds.
Bacchetta remained 1.04 seconds faster from Julie Fourtier of CSN Guyancourt, who was unable to make significant improvement in her timing and ended her race in seventh place by touching the wall with a timing of 2 minutes and 18.60 seconds.
Eighth position of the event was obtained by Marion Blanchard of Angers Natation, who was 0.05 seconds slower and posted a time of 2 minutes and 18.65 seconds.
Furthermore, Lecluyse was contented with her top finish in the race and stressed that she would try hard to achieve the same in upcoming events.
