Fans waiting to see Pablo Sandoval vs Miguel Cabrera battle – MLB Update
According to a leading sports website, the entire Venezuela is looking forward to Pablo Sandoval vs Miguel Cabrera clash in the World Series.
Both hitters play for their teams as third baseman. Tigers’ third baseman, Cabrera has looked in outstanding form since the start of the season. He has posted some impressive numbers. With 44 home-runs and 139 RBI’s, he became only the second Tigers’ hitter
to win the Triple Crown Award.
Cabrera has struggled a bit on the plate in the post-season but we all know the beast can wake up at any time. Tigers’ have three other Venezuelans in their team and the fans back in Venezuela will be certainly supporting them.
San Francisco Giants stunned the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday to win the National League Championship Series. They were trailing 1-3 in the series at the end of Game 4. However, Sandoval and Gregor Blanco brought them back into the series with some high
quality hitting.
Sandoval had a forgettable time during the regular season as he managed to hit just 12 home-runs with 63 RBI’s. However, he has looked on top of his game play in the post-season. In the NLCS against the St. Louis Cardinals, Sandoval hit home-runs under immense
pressure to send his side to the World Series.
"Last year, I saw the results when I worked my counts," Sandoval said. "So today and the last couple of games, I just used that good approach and made adjustments. I calmed down a little more to get a pitch I could drive."
"Both are big stars back in Venezuela," Blanco said. "Everybody over there would see through them how the Series would be, and hopefully Pablo keeps swinging like he's swinging and we go to the World Series."
"All of Venezuela is waiting for that," Giants’ left fielder Blanco said. "It would be exciting if we both get to the World Series.”
Both Cabrera and Sandoval will be eager to show the World what they are capable of. However, with Justin Verlander starting two of seven World Series games, it will not be easy for Sandoval to drive in runs in every game.
