Fans will be disappointed to see the main bowlers rested, says Ian Bell – Cricket News Update
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/IR-Bell-c1597, the top-order batsman, believes that fans will be disappointed to see that some of England’s main bowlers have been rested for the third One Day International (ODI) against West Indies, which is going to be played tomorrow at Leeds.
The home team has already sealed the three-match series by winning the initial two fixtures at Southampton and the Oval respectively. This is quite an impressive result as West Indies were favourites before the series because of a star-studded batting line-up.
The English selectors have rested http://www.senore.com/Cricket/JC-Tredwell-c1676.
Bell, who made a comeback to the 50-overs team in the on-going series, expressed that the crowd always wants to watch the best players in the field. However, he rates the youngsters very high and feels that they will not let the fans down in the last match of the series.
The batsman from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Warwickshire-c862 said, "Of course, I have some sympathy. It has slightly weakened our attack, but I still think it is a team that can go out and beat West Indies. There's no doubt people want to come to see the Broads, Andersons and Bresnans. But they will be seeing young, exciting guys who will be big players for England over the next few years."
England have adopted a rotation policy in the current season as they rested http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 in a crucial encounter, as it will decide the number one ranked Test team of the world.
While defending the rotation policy, Bell further added that England’s secret behind success in recent times is their top-class bowling attack and it is imperative for the management to use them carefully.
"There's a heavy schedule coming up. We need to look after these guys. The key to our success in one-day cricket is having five out-and-out world-class bowlers,” he added.
