  1. as the other answerer said, there are lines that contain some flammable liquid that are under the water in the rivers of america. there are also lights and projectors as well as the sprinklers that send up the mist that the images are projected on.

you can usually see the outline of them if you walk along the rivers of america during the afternoon, especially if you go right by the pirates of the caribbean entrance. the current is a little different, but there isn't really anything sticking up.

at walt disney world, they have a burning orb in their fantasmic! show. i personally think the burning water at disneyland is much cooler-i can always feel the intensity of the flames!

  2. Its not a burning object.  It's gas jets mounted just above the water line.  They use something like 500 gallons of natural gas per show.

  3. The gas lines are under water, during the show they raise to water level, you can not see them, This way the shoot out gas and it looks like there is fire on the water. There is a whole another world that is going on under the water and underground. Do some research and you can find a lot of interesting stuff about how the rides and shows operate. I'm glad you enjoy the show, Isn't the mystery great !!!!
