Fantastic restaurants in Venice, Italy?

Question

Looking for an amazing dining experience, ambiance, great food, great staff - doesn't have to be fine dining - going with a bunch of my girlfriends, and we can dress up or down! Will be in Italy May 24th - June 2nd of this year. Any other recommendations (shopping, sights) are welcome, also!

Try http://www.ristorantedaraffaele.com/rist... it's on a small canal between Piazza San Marco and the Accademia Bridge. Sit at an outdoor table next to the canal and watch the gondolas go by while you eat. The Zuppa di Scampi is usually good when it's on the menu.

Ostaria di Zucca http://www.lazucca.it/ is another excellent choice. The pumpkin dishes are really good. I also especially like the roast duck with apples and calvados.

Another interesting place is Bistrot de Venise: http://www.bistrotdevenise.com/ They have a menu that features food based on Venetian recipes from the 14th to 17th centuries. They also have the more current dishes.

There are lots of other good places though.
