Question

Is this a fair trade? I would trade Adrian Gonzo and Dice K for Prince Fielder and T. Lincecum. Who is getting the better end of the deal?

Also what should be my starting rotation? (4 starters to RP)

1. The trade I think will be better for the other team. Gonzalez has been hitting fantastically and although Dice K seems to be in a slump he could turn it around.

2. Ok for your starting rotation I would do as follows-

1. J Peavy

2. D Haren

3. R Harden

4. Dice-K

3. Well I am having trouble deciding what your problem is here, your team looks pretty good. One thing I could say is now that David Ortiz (I know it hurts he is on my team too) is on the DL, you may need another big power hitter. Howver you do have A-rod maybe try to get another player like Prince Fielder for example.

I'd do the trade in a heartbeat.  A. Gonz is a beast, but Fielder, although a down year, is still a massive home run threat.

Lincecum is a better option for everything except wins, in my opinion.  Plus, isn't Dice K hurt?

Do the trade, plenty of upside in your direction.

with all respect to bob b, u would get the better part of the deal. lincecum is one of the top k's leaders and has a similar record to dice-k's. sure tim is with san fran but he has done very well with the team that he has. gonzo killed pitching but he has hit a wall with the power, but he still hits. fielder is going to have a great second half. i can feel it, he has started hitting and the power is slowely coming back. u will loose some hits and avg but the power will come back. and pitching will be better, dice k allowed 7 or 8 runs last start, right? lincecum has a 2.54 era to dice ks 3.56. lincecum has more k's and less walks.
